SciCrop was founded in 2015 by José Damico and Renato Ferraz, after several years of experience with data science and technology in the main financial institutions in the country. When analyzing the agribusiness sector, they verified the growth potential and the opportunities that analytics could offer in the digital transformation process. From this moment on, they created the company that has in its name the DNA of its mission: “Sci” which comes from the word science in English and represents data science applied with technology; and “Crop”, which is the English word that represents agribusiness, crops, and the focus on agribusiness.
